The Los Angeles Lunar Society advocates the secession of Venice from the city of Los Angeles, and does not preclude the use of revolution to achieve this end. However, many Lunar Society members are involved in work of one kind or another for the Hollywood dream factory and we were therefore forced during August's full moon meeting to recognize that a Venice revolution might interrupt some production schedules.
Therefore a blind ballot decided that members in pre-production, production, post, or on worldwide publicity tours are recused from active military duty. The motion was accepted and will be officially adopted into Lunar Society bylaws during the full moon meeting of September 18th.

The Nolita Prime (officially designated as the parcel of land bordered by Houston, Elizabeth, Prince and Mulberry Streets) Guild of New York City hereby petitions to joins the Lunar Society as a sister federation. We are indeed sympathetic to the revolution (in fact, the celebratory rites are written into our charter). However, we are currently occupied manning the booths (making cotton candy, grilling schwarma, executing caricatures for tourists, performing 2-minute Tui-Na massages with the help of our Asian brothers, etc.) for the San Gennaro Festival and will also not be able to report for active duty at this time. Please accept our humble regards, etc. etc.....
